闫伟，1984年生，历史学博士、西北大学中东研究所副所长、教授、博士研究生导师，《中东研究》执行主编、西北大学叙利亚研究中心特约研究员。主要研究方向：阿富汗问题、中东部落问题及中东政治与国际关系、南亚安全问题，在《世界历史》、《史学月刊》、《史学集刊》、《史学理论研究》、《西亚非洲》、《世界民族》、《南亚研究》《光明日报（理论版）》等刊物上发表学术论文50余篇，参编学术专著4部，主持国家社科基金重大项目、重点项目、重大项目子项目5项。研究成果获陕西省哲学社会科学优秀成果二等奖等。

Yan Wei, Ph. D in history, born in 1984, serves as Deputy Director, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor of the Institute of Middle Eastern Studies at Northwest University. He is also the Executive Editor of Middle Eastern Studies and special researcher of Syria Research Center at Northwest University. His main research interests involve: Afghanistan issues, Middle Eastern tribal issues, Middle Eastern politics and international relations, and South Asian security issues. He has published over 50 academic papers in publications including World History, Journal of Historical Science, Collected Papers of History Studies, Historiography Quarterly, West Asia and Africa, Journal of World Peoples Studies, South Asian Studies, and Guangming Daily (theoretical edition). He has participated in the editing of 4 academic monographs, and hosted 5 major projects, key projects, and major sub projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China. His research achievements have won the Second Prize for Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences in Shaanxi Province.
